GCSE and Level 2 results 2024

Congratulations to all Denefield’s Year 11 students on their excellent GCSE and Level 2 examination results. Students have worked incredibly hard again this year to prepare well for these qualifications, and we are very proud of their results.

Denefield’s GCSE results continue to be very strong. The majority of students gained at least a grade 5 in both English and Maths (considered to be a ‘strong pass’ – equivalent to grade B). In several subjects (including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Philosophy and Ethics and Spanish) half or more of the students gained the very top grades 7-9 (equivalent to A and A*).

  • Yuvleen Sandhu who achieved 2 grade 9; 4 grade 8; 3 grade 7 and 1 grade 6
  • Phoebe Hudson who achieved 2 grade 9; 3 grade 8; 4 grade 7 and 1 grade 6  
  • Elizabeth Jones who achieved  2 grade 9; 1 grade 8; 4 grade 7; 2 grade 6 and 1 L2D*

These results will enable our students to make take exciting next steps - remaining at Sixth Form or going on to apprenticeships or training.

They have all worked tirelessly during the past two years and deserve every success today and in their futures. Today is all about each student’s next destination, and I am excited that our students are able to move into the next stage of their lives with confidence, resilience and ambition! It is wonderful to see so many of our students wishing to return to Denefield Sixth Form, where our A Level results have also been excellent this year. I am also thrilled for our students starting exciting new college courses, apprenticeships or training. Congratulations to all in Year 11!'
