Parent/Carer Stakeholder Survey
We are constantly trying to improve the education that we offer our students at Denefield. Therefore, we invite students, parents/carers, and staff to tell us how well they think we are doing, and to suggest improvements in the areas that are important.
By completing the questionnaire for each child that you have at Denefield, you will be informing us about how you think we could be spending our time and resources, to make our school the best that it can be for all students. Each completed questionnaire is vital in finding out what parents/carers think. Your answers will be treated with the strictest confidence and will make a difference to how we operate the school and plan for the future.
The last date to complete the survey is Friday 22 November 2024.
Denefield Remembrance Day Service
Denefield Students and Staff gathered for a heartfelt Remembrance Day Service, observing two minutes silence to honour those who have served and sacrificed. This experience highlighted the importance of unity and remembrance within our community, reminding us of the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today.
West Berks Foodbank
We are proud to share that in October the whole Denefield community came together and donated more than ten crates full of food (equivalent to 250 meals) and essential items to West Berks Foodbank.
We would like to thank our students, parents/carers, and staff, who made a meaningful contribution to the local community.
Year 10 Geography Field Trip
Year 10 students attended Rushall Farm to complete their Geography fieldwork which forms part of their GCSE course. During the day, they visited three sites along the River Pang and took measurements of the river's depth, width, velocity and gradient after being shown the skills by the Rushall Farm staff.
Despite the cold temperatures, all the students made the most of the day and managed to collect a full set of data to be analysed in classrooms in the coming weeks. Students were so organised and worked together so well to get the results needed that some groups even had time for a bit of pond dipping at the end of the day!
